By transferring your website out, your website will no longer have a warranty with us. This means that if there is an issue with your website, for example it stops working, email notifications aren't sending or it's hacked, you will not be covered.
If this does occur, we may be able to offer paid support on a case by case basis, however this could be costly as the website will not be on our servers and we will need to familiarise ourselves with your new setup and investigate the root cause of the problem.
If your website has not been kept up to date, this may require a managed update to bring it up to the latest version of Wordpress.
Your current warranty with us includes the following:
Your website will no longer have the same level of support. This means that if you need help with any elements of the website itself, you may not have anyone to speak to. Be sure to check this first before transferring.
Hosting only companies such as Godaddy, Fasthosts, 123-Reg etc only provide support for your hosting, NOT your website - the most important aspect.

Speed, reliability, security and online reputation can all vary hugely between different hosting providers.
Your website is currently held on a high-speed, UK-based private server with a small selection of our other clients. This means that your website has dedicated high-spec resources to be able to run your website smoothly. Unless you are looking to setup your own private server, you will not be receiving a comparable level of service.
Your current hosting with us includes the following:
Fast load speeds - unlike shared hosting companies, your website is setup on a private server with high speed SSD hard drives and ultra-fast CPUs. This means super fast load speeds, even during peak times.
Regular backups included - we don't charge extra for website backups. These are kept securely on a completely separate server and network, just incase the worst happens.
Premium Antivirus Scanning included - our servers scan your website every day to identify any potential threats or malicious files and automatically cleans them up, so you don't need to worry.
Premium Firewall Protection included - we use a premium firewall provider to help protect your website against malicious traffic, bots and hackers.
It's not too late to change your mind! We value your business and never like to see a customer leave. As a gesture of goodwill, we'd like to offer you a massive 50% discount on the next 3 months of your hosting with us.
If you require a copy of your website, we'll need to archive up the files, remove any commercial licenses and create a package for you which will allow your new provider to install the website. If you are not familiar with transferring a website, please check with your new provider to see if they will assist you.
Please note, if you do not opt for a copy of your website files, they will be permanently removed and lost forever. We do not keep a current version or original version of your website after your hosting is cancelled.
When closing your account with us, your email accounts will also be removed. We are unable to provide backups of any email accounts. If you require a backup of your emails, you will need to download these locally on your PC or contact your new provider to migrate them.
Transferring your domain name (website address) can take 24-72 hours to complete, depending on the registrar.
To transfer a .com domain, we will provide you with an Auth Code. You will need to send this to your new provider and they will need to initiate a Transfer In request. Once this has been actioned, the Auth Code can be used to transfer in the domain name. Please note, some providers may charge you to transfer in the domain name.
